Exciting Update: CIVILHOOD Project Wraps Up! 🌍✨
The CIVILHOOD project, proudly funded by the AMIF program of the European Union, is nearing its successful completion at the end of February 2024. Aimed at fostering the inclusion of integrating migrants, especially unaccompanied minors transitioning into adulthood, into the labor market through Civic education, the project has made significant strides across 5 Member States – Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Slovenia, and Austria. 🤝📘
Our journey has been dedicated to empowering these young individuals as rights-holders, providing them with essential civic skills and enhancing their labor capabilities. This initiative is not just about facilitating access to the job market but ensuring these minors can thrive and contribute meaningfully to their host communities. 💼🌱
Key Achievements:
- Development of three comprehensive Civilhood handbooks tailored for unaccompanied minors, trainers, and stakeholders. These resources aim to equip young migrants with civic education and employability skills, guiding them through their unique journeys. 📚🔍
- A transformative curriculum designed to diminish cultural disorientation and encourage active, responsible citizenship. 🌐📈
Don’t Miss Our Final Showcase! Join us in Athens on February 15th, 2024, for the final European conference, where we’ll share the project’s outcomes, lessons learned, and the invaluable experiences of those involved. This gathering is a testament to our collective efforts and the positive impact of the CIVILHOOD project on the future of integration policies and practices. 🎉📣
